On February 13, 2025, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) declared Santa Cruz County a disaster area due to the economic impacts of the 2024 Coastal Storm and High Surf Event. Low-interest Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) are now available to eligible small businesses and nonprofits that suffered financial losses directly related to this disaster.
