Subject: Notice of Fire Suppression System Inspection – 2222 East Cliff Drive

Dear Tenant,

This is to inform you that the Santa Cruz Port District will be conducting a required inspection and recertification of the fire suppression system at 2222 East Cliff Drive on Monday, February 24, 2025, beginning at 8:00 AM. The inspection is expected to be completed by 11:00 AM.

Access to your office space will be required during this time. If you wish, you may accompany Port District staff during the inspection.

In accordance with the International Fire Code, please ensure the following:

• If fire suppression equipment (e.g., a sprinkler riser or fire suppression closet) is located within your space, access must remain unobstructed. Any boxes, materials, or other items blocking access must be removed immediately. Pathways and door openings leading to this equipment must also be kept clear.
• Storage must be kept at least three feet below the ceiling. Items stacked too high can obstruct the proper function of the fire suppression system and must be adjusted accordingly.

If no one is available at your space during the scheduled time, our staff will need to enter to complete the inspection. Please provide any necessary alarm codes or access instructions in advance to facilitate a smooth process.
