2016 PARKING STICKERS AND PASSES
2016  PARKING STICKERS AND PASSES
Slip renter parking stickers will be available Wednesday, January 6th for pick up in the Harbor office. Instructions for obtaining your 2016 stickers will be mailed shortly.
New passes for landside tenants and employees are being prepared and will be available for pick up on Wednesday, January 6th, 2016.
These passes will be valid January 1st through March 31st, 2016 after which time the new parking program is anticipated to take effect.
Additional information about purchasing landside and employee parking permits is forthcoming.

The Santa Cruz Port District is seeking applications from qualified candidates for the tenancy and operation of a business at 413 Lake Avenue, Suite 103. Application material is available on the Port District's website, or at the Santa Cruz Harbor Office, 135 5th Avenue, Santa Cruz, CA. 

LIGHTED BOAT PARADE
The Santa Cruz Yacht Club's Lighted Boat Parade was heavily attended and quite a success.  Thank you to all slip renters who decorated their boats to make this event so fun and festive for the entire Santa Cruz community.    
  
 
 
2015-2016  DREDGE SEASON UPDATE
Federal Channel (Entrance) Dredging  
2015-16 Season
The harbor entrance shoaled quickly during recent storms and heavy sea and swell conditions. Recent soundings show the progress being made by the dredge crew to deepen the channel, but shallow conditions persist at the harbor mouth, and there is dangerous breaking surf, at times.
 
Mariners are advised not to transit the entrance channel at this time due to unsafe conditions. Entrance conditions are changeable. Please call the Santa Cruz Harbor office for the latest conditions at (831) 475-6161. We will continue to post the most recent sounding information on our website.
 
Passing the Dredge
Boaters should pass Seabright on the east side (Crow's Nest side) of the channel unless otherwise marked. Stay at least 50' from the dredge. Contact the crew for passing instructions on VHF channel 8.
 
 

 
North Harbor Dredging 2015-16 Season
Recent storm and swell conditions which brought shoaling to the harbor entrance have necessarily delayed north harbor dredging, which was previously scheduled to occur over several days in mid-December.
 
We intend to dredge the north harbor before the end of February 2016, as entrance conditions allow. Please check the harbor's website for schedule updates.
 

The cross channel pipe is marked with a green buoy at the west end and a red buoy at the east end. Stay between the buoys at all times.
