Completion of Phase II of the Harbor Security Upgrades Project
|
The Santa Cruz Port District is pleased to announce completion of Phase II of the Harbor Security Upgrades Project, which transitions all dock gates and restroom facilities to an electronic key system, and replaces the ALX system currently in use for the shower facilities. A single fob will now be utilized to open dock gates, restrooms, and showers.
Current slip licensees are eligible to return current gate, restroom, and shower keys and apply the associated deposit toward the purchase of a new electronic fob. Please visit the harbor office between 9 AM and 5 PM to purchase a new electronic fob.
Each dock gate, restroom, and shower facility is equipped with an electronic keypad, which will permit access after entering a unique code. A temporary code was emailed to all slip licensees on February 28, 2019, and again on March 4, 2019. The temporary code is intended to provide users time to exchange hard keys for new electronic fobs. The temporary code will expire on Tuesday, March 19, 2019. If you are unable to exchange your keys by March 19, 2019, stop by the harbor office on your next trip to secure access to the dock.
