RV Information

Welcome to Santa Cruz Harbor. The harbor provides permanent moorage for approximately 1,200 wet-berthed and 275 dry-stored vessels. Santa Cruz Harbor is a special district operated by the Santa Cruz Port District Commission. The harbor office is located at 135 5th Avenue, Santa Cruz. The office is open 9:00 am to 5:00 pm every day. The R.V. park is located in the north harbor. Do not bring your rig to the harbor office. The Port District maintains a harbor patrol who are on duty 24 hrs/day. For emergencies dial 911, or you may contact a harbor patrol officer by cellular phone between 5:00 pm and 9:00 am (212-4261). As the officers do not always have the phone with them, please keep trying.

RV Parking Areas / Size Limits

Parking areas for recreational vehicles and travel trailers are located in the northeast corner of Santa Cruz North Harbor. These areas are identified on the map on the reverse side. The RV. must be contained within the space lines.

A maximum overall length of 42' is allowed.

RV Host

An RV host is available for information and initial registration most days. The host's location is marked with a sign. Please contact the host for a space assignment. The host handles reservations. Please do not attempt to make contact with the host after 9:00 pm or before 9:00 am.

Fees / Reservations / Stay Limits / Checkout Time

R.V. sites are by permit only. Paid reservations will hold a space, but not a particular space number.
The fee for overnight R.V. accommodation is $50/night with hookups. There is a seven night maximum stay.
Permits are "required for additional vehicles, or use of other parking spaces. Fees are based on the type of permit required. Permits may be obtained at the harbor office.
Checkout time is 12:00 noon the following day. Reservations are accepted by phone or in person, with payment due in full, in advance. The Port District accepts Visa and MasterCard.
First night's fee may be charged at time of reservation.
No refunds for early departures.
Depending on demand and the season, a two-night minimum stay may be required.

How to Register

Most days, an R.V. host will be available for initial registration. Between the hours of 10:00 pm and 8:00 am, a harbor patrol officer will periodically drive through the RV area. Please display your permit prominently on the street side of your vehicle.

Program Rules

Vehicles must be completely self·contained, including gray water.
Sewer, electric (30 and 50 amp), and fresh water are available at each site.
Dogs must be kept leashed, tied up, or contained inside your R.V. Dog barking must be controlled and the owner is responsible to clean up after their animal.
Access to the harbor docks and restrooms is not granted with your RV. permit. Shower's are not available.
Please respect quiet hour's between 10:00 pm and 7:00 am daily.
No skateboarding, scooters or roller skating are allowed in the R V. area.
No open fires are permitted within Santa Cruz Harbor. Barbecues, in conventional barbecue containers, are allowed. Please be sure your coals are completely extinguished and disposed of properly.
No washing or working on vehicles.
RV's must be backed in, with the driver's side starting at the left side of the assigned space.
Failure to comply with park rules may result in termination of stay without refund.

Beach / Restaurant / Etc.

The map on the reverse side indicates the location of numerous restaurants and other concessions at Santa Cruz Harbor. Of particular interest to most visitors is the harbor beach, as well as four major restaurants.

This picturesque beach is lined with catamarans and has volleyball courts. Food concessions are located nearby. The beach is approximately 1 mile from the RV parking sites. Limited parking is available in the launch ramp, or concession lot area. A free water taxi between the north harbor and beach area is available between 11:00 am - 6:00 pm on summer weekends and holidays, from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

An extensive walking trail completely surrounds the harbor. There are public stairs at various locations - Frederick Street park; Mello Lane; and at the bridge (west side).
